Energy Suppliers To Repay Hoard Of £1.2bn Customer Cash

The government has revealed plans that energy companies will have to pay back money which they have been hoarding from direct debit overpayments from customers.

Energy suppliers have finally caved and will offer refunds automatically to customers if an account is in credit by more than one months payment, this comes after pressure from MP's when it was revealed energy suppliers make upwards of £36 million a year in interest payments. (Source: The Times)
