Scottish Power Fourth Energy Supplier To Raise Energy Prices To 8.6%

Energy supplier Scottish Power has become the fourth energy supplier of the big six to announced a price increase. From 6 December dual-fuel energy bills are set to rise 8.6% which will see the averange annual duel-fuel bill increase to around £1,424.

Electricity prices will increase by 9% and gas prices by 8.5%, with price increases affecting approximately 2.2 million customers.

This price increase leaves E.on and EDF Energy as the last of the big six energy suppliers yet to announce price increases this autumn.
